My Committment

My committment is that my daughter will never doubt for a fraction of a minute that she is the most important little girl in the world to me and she knows that when she needs a mom, I've got her back.

Lisa, your daughter is so lucky to have you as her mom. What a powerful statement you've made here.

Go for it, Lisa! I can't think of a better commitment in the world. Couple of comments: 1) just make sure you don't beat yourself up if at some point for just a fraction on a second she does doubt it, likely through no fault of yours -- perfection is a mighty burden to put on our shoulders!, and 2) let me share why I'm so behind you in your commitment: when my daughter was in those dreadful teen years, she said to me "Mom, you're always SAYING that I'm the most important thing in the world to you -- but your actions don't always show it" (this said during a period when I was way too invested in my work & often didn't get home 'til 8 or after); broke my heart, and I'd give anything to turn back that clock! My best wishes to you in this oh-so-important endeavor.

Lisa-
What a beautiful way to express your love and devotion to Tarah. She is an angel indeed. You have a beautiful family and I love reading your thoughtful posts.
Can not wait to meet you IRL.
