First Day of Third Grade
September 21, 2009 Comments Off
I started writing this when school started but we've done tons of things in school since then so I kind of forgot what happened the rest of the day:
Well, first I was really nervous until I realized that Play House was the second stop and as soon as I got on the bus I saw my best friend Devin saved a seat for me! As soon as I got in the school I saw the principal [ A close friend of mine]. So I asked him if I sit down somewhere or if I go directly to my classroom. Just then the bell rang. So he said you can go to your classroom but you'd usually sit down at the far end of the hallway. Where is that I thought in my head. So I went down to my classroom but I couldn't get my locker open. Just then my friend Emily waved at me so I walked over to her and said I can't get my locker open. Oh , can't get your locker open on the first day of school she said. When I got in the classroom I saw a bunch of kids giving our teacher Mr. Feldewerd tons of papers so I went back in the hallway thinking I had to grab some papers but there was none and so I walked back in there feeling kind of silly. When I walked in the classroom saw a guy by Mr. Feldewerd's desk. It turned out to be Mr.Feldewerd! And then I saw some kids putting their lunch sticks in the lunch jugs. The end.
I'll try to write more stories about the stuff that happens in school, especially the funny stuff. How was your first day of school?

From home email copied over to here: I can't believe you are in third grade!!!!!!! Every time I turn around you seem to arrive to the next school year! Sounds very exciting so far, but one thing I want to know- what were all the papers about that were being handed in? Sounds like a mystery may be in the making. I can remember back to third grade..... (Diane) I have some wonderful memories and I can't wait to read about your adventures this year. Work hard and play hard too.... love to you, mom and dad Diane and Grandpa Rich PS I will show your newest story to aunt Rachel tonight. She is in 12th grade now and very busy thinking about applying to college.
