What I Want To Be When I Grow Up
March 8, 2010 Comments Off There is a writing contest at the Fishing Pond and I am entering this:
My name is Tarah and when I grow I want to be an artist. My friends always say that I'm really good at drawing. I really enjoy it too. I love every kind of art but I especially like drawing and painting. I'm really good at doing self portraits and portraits of other people.
My mom's friend Jan gives me art lessons every Sunday and now we are working on pastels. They're not my favorite but they are still pretty fun. I'd like to be an artist who makes pictures, not an illustrator.
As you can see, I think I'll be a pretty good artist.

You are a talented artist and the best fun is exploring ALL the kinds of art you can! Try ceramics and clay sculpture; try some oil or acrylic painting, try collage - anything that "stretches" you. You may not like something but you will learn from everything!
