The Bracelet

I just finished reading The Bracelet by Betsy Johnson-Miller and I loved it. I can't wait until the second book comes out. This is a little about the story.

Litney Way finds a bracelet at a garage sale and finds a note inside from her own mother. She figures out that every girl in her family gets the bracelet when she's sixteen. The problem is Litney is only 14 so everyone says it's early. Her mom makes her go to her grandma's because her grandma and her mother have been through this.

The next morning Litney goes into the greenhouse and meets a boy named Dokken and he says he fell asleep in New York and woke up in the woods by the greenhouse. At first, she thinks he is crazy. As they try to leave the greenhouse they find themselves in a room with a hole in the floor and everything is dark except one little light that is coming from the bracelet. They go down the hole and find themselves outside the greenhouse.

On their way to her grandma's house their dog Bernard is acting really strange. When they get inside they see everybody having breakfast and talking but they can't hear them. When Litney tries to tap her mother, her hand goes right through her. She figures out she has to go on a crazy adventure to stop Mala. Mala is a shape shifting creature and nobody knows what animal she really is. If she gets the bracelet, she'll travel to each dimension and destroy each one.

So Litney has to go on an adventure where she has to trust animals she's never met before and figure out who she would rather save Dokken or the bracelet.
